Private Medical
Search Engine Services: Medical Central's Search Engine product is an
Internet-based search engine series of web sites for
employers to assist employees with their health care.
The Private Search Engine is a sub-set of our
nation-wide databases utilized in the 650 medical and health search
engine web sites of the Medical Central Online family (www.medicalcentral.com).
With the Private
Medical Search Engine, a company's human resource department can
off-load most health care questions concerning where to
find doctors, chiropractors, hospitals, and other
practitioners. The databases are current and are
continually updated by our staff and our practitioner,
hospital, eldercare, and other providers.
The Medical Search Engine
Services also come with two options:

A disease management
module as a resource to your employees for questions about
any disease or disorder they may be interested
in.

A customizable, very secure, private "My
Health Folder" for your employees to manage and record all of
their usual measurements over time from their medical exams (blood
pressure, heart rate, etc.) in addition to any chronic or
persistent disorder they may have. With automatic graphs, each
employee can track their medical history and visually see any
tendencies.

Data
We have many health care
subscribers in our network. Our practitioner, hospital, eldercare
facility, and other subscribers build and maintain their web
sites in our environment. They also update their amenities,
programs, services, specialties, and surgical procedures on a
continuing basis in the search engine databases. We have over 650
search engine web sites for your employees to use to find the
resources they need.
Your Private Medical
Search Engine is customized for your needs based on the health plans that you are contracted with i.e. all contracted providers in a company's health plans are organized into logical categories so employees can easily search. They can search for a provider by health
plan, by location, provider type, specialty, diseases treated,
and surgical procedures performed. Once they choose a specific provider they can view
education, specialties, sub-specialties, credentialing information
and treatment philosophies.
They can even request an appointment. (The provider needs to enable this feature so they can accept the on-line appointment requests).
At your option, your Private Medical Search Engine also includes a custom web site designed for you from one of our standard templates. We will work with you to make the site as attractive and easy to use as possible.
To make the system effective for your employees, you must provide us with your health plans you are contracted with so we can front-load the files for your employees.
If requested, we can also provide update privileges to your human resources staff so they can also update new provider or plan data.
Prices for
the Private Search Engine service are based on the number of
employees in the
company.

Medical
Central has over 2100 detailed descriptions of diseases and
disorders that can be utilized by a company's employee for their
disease or disorder management.
All disease information is
created and peer reviewed by our physician MD staff and physician MD
editorial board.

2. Secure Personal Health Folder module

Each employee receives an electronic
historical health folder called My Health Folder that is
used by them to store their health information. Each time your
employee visits the doctor or has a health-related event, they can
ener the information into their folder through an ID and password.
If they are diagnosed with a disease, disorder, or condition that
needs to be monitored, they can set up
a section in the folder to refer back to as needed.
The My Health
Folder option is a personal folder. It is secured from one of our secure servers
using a SSL 128 bit encryption key. As a result
neither your human resources personnel nor any Medical Central employee
will be able to access or read any of the My Health Folder
contents unless the employee provides the necessary
key.
Prices for this option are also based on the
number of employees in the company.
